When I first got together with Maggie & Asher to have a chat about their day, we met at Maggie’s parents home. The family home that told such a story, held so many incredible memories. Their plan was to have a beautifully intimate backyard wedding in a garden that their entire family, particularly her Mum & Dad were in the process of creating, months and months out from their day. There were fences being built, garden beds planted and beautiful ideas becoming a reality. I knew… I could already see, that this was going to be beautiful.
Maggie told me just the day before her wedding again how incredible their backyard was shaping up for their incredible day. She told me how important it was that they could spend their whole day there, having a relaxed and intimate afternoon and evening with their closest friends and family. I hadn’t been over there for quite a few months and even though I knew what they had in mind, it wasn’t until I arrived that it really hit me how incredible the transformation was that they had made to this absolutely beautiful space. This was a summer’s day filled with good food, raucous laughter. Complete with blown electrical fuses and emergency repairs… Anchored with raw and beautiful emotion, and incredible heart and soul. This was the most incredible of backyard weddings. I was blown away.
