Kayla & Mike… Wallalong House

It’s a struggle to find the words here. Kayla and Mike’s day was as perfect as they come. But it’s not the details… Sure, they were incredible. Every element so incredibly important, take but one example, in Kayla’s jaw dropping gown, crafted ever so perfectly by Grace Loves Lace. Stunning in every way, every stitch intentional, perfectly placed and there for a reason.  Their location… Wallalong House, upper Hunter Valley, NSW. Beyond amazing, and truly somewhere that has to be seen to be believed. To walk it’s cavernous rooms and verandas, each floorboard, every brick steeped in history, from the stables and underfloor cellar, every inch having stories to tell.

It’s so much more than that. It’s about the heart and soul of their day. This day was quite simply and completely about their commitment to each other. It was about the love they showed for every single person invited to stand alongside them, everyone privileged enough to share in this incredibly important, completely intentional and meaningful day.

As I mentioned in a little preview of this day a while back… As Kayla, Mike and I wandered through one of Wallalong House’s rolling fields, the last of the day’s warm and soft light dropping away before our eyes, we stopped. Not to take photos, but all three of us stopped just to look at how incredible that last moment of light was that lay before us. At that point Kayla said to me… “I just cannot believe how perfect every second of this day has been”…

I couldn’t agree more.
