When I spent an afternoon with the Oldfield family recently, I had the opportunity to share in what was, quite simply, family… doing their thing. Nathan Oldfield is a passionate surfer, filmmaker, photographer and board shaper, amongst other things creative. And if you know Nath, you will clearly know his undying passion for the sea and everything that relates… it was with this in mind that during the afternoon, I caught a glimpse… a glimpse of contentment… this family, surrounded by sandstone cliffs, the still ocean and spectacular national park… truly content. I was truly humbled to just share some time chatting, laughing and experiencing what, as a family, these guys really cherish. Watching their kids delight in making juice, tending the Bonsai, and taking a trip down to a place that holds such an incredible and emotional place in the very heart of this family was, without doubt, a privilege and an honour. Nath, Eliza, Noa, Blossom, Willow & River… thank you.
