This june we saw some of the wettest weather we had seen around here for quite sometime. Although, leading up to Mike & Sophie’s day we were sure that there would be sun just around the corner. We were wrong… it was wet. Really, really wet. And… it was amazing.
Mike and Soph were married beneath a spectacular tree in a secluded arboretum in Pearl Beach in the pouring rain. Then we headed to Patonga where we spent some time relishing in how wonderful their wedding was… Soph, barefoot on the beach… rain falling again. From there we headed to a spectacularly lit marquee on the waterfront for a fairy tale reception under a (finally) clearing winters night sky.
You may think that ordinarily, rain on your wedding day would be memorable for the wrong reasons… but it wasn’t. In fact, it was the opposite. Mike and Soph’s wedding day was story book perfection… amazing and wonderful for everyone privileged enough to be a part of it. Particularly, of course… Mike and Sophie. This was a totally amazing day. Every bit of it… rain and all! Congratulations Mike and Soph… and thank you. I feel truly blessed to have been a part of your day.
