When I flew into Mount Hotham, late one Friday afternoon in August, I knew that I would be in for a pretty incredible weekend. As Kari, Matt & I headed out towards their ceremony location, to take a little look at where their beautiful ceremony was going to take place the following day, I got a sense of the excitement and anticipation for what, even up until a few hours before their ceremony, was largely kept under wraps from their family and friends.
As the last few moments of daylight started to fade, and the rain began to fall, we walked through the snow across JB Plain… And as I saw the JB Hut through the trees, I realised, just what a special and stunning place this was, what a special and stunning wedding day that I was about to share in.
Kari & Matt’s close friend and family descended on Mount Hotham throughout the evening, and as they did, the skies cleared and Saturday began in breathtaking fashion… Not a cloud in the sky, nor a breeze to be felt, this was one truly spectacular alpine day.
And, spectacular it was. Kari & Matt’s family and closest friends, gathered in the pristine white landscape that is Mount Hotham… Sharing in their beautiful wedding. As I mentioned, I knew this would be special… And it was most certainly that.
Take a look…
